Roles and Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain cloud infrastructure environments on AWS, ensuring availability, performance, security, and scalability of production systems.
- Design repeatable, automated, and scalable processes to increase efficiency and improve software quality, managing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and working on internal tooling that simplifies workflows.
- Collaborate with application teams to apply DevOps practices in the development lifecycle.
- Automate and streamline operations and processes, including CI/CD pipelines, logging, and monitoring stacks.
- Create solution prototypes and conduct proof of concepts for new tools.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues/outages and provide operational support, engaging in incident handling with a culture of post-mortem and knowledge sharing.
- Use AI tools (Cursor, Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, Claude Code) to accelerate infrastructure tasks — generating boilerplate IaC (Terraform modules, Helm charts, Dockerfiles, CI pipelines), interpreting logs, and debugging failures 2x–3x faster than manual authoring.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 1–3 years of hands-on experience in DevOps, currently practicing DevOps methodology.
- Proven experience with cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS.
- Working knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration technologies
- Hands-on experience with any Configuration Management tool like Puppet, Chef, or Ansible.
- Ability to do scripting in any one of Shell, Ruby, Perl, Python, or Golang.
- Troubleshooting and system engineering exposure in Linux production environments
- Should be well versed with IaC, especially Terraform
- Should be well versed with networking at AWS
- Knowledge of CI/CD, Logging, and Monitoring stack.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while continuously evaluating emerging technologies.
- Strong communication and analytical/problem-solving skills.
