Roles and Responsibilities:
- Maintain Performance: Prevent decay and find efficiencies: Monitor the architecture and identify opportunities to optimize code to maintain and enhance mainframe performance.
- Debug and Test: Find and fix: Debug, troubleshoot, and analyze complex system interactions to keep mission-critical applications running.
- Develop for the Future: Bridge the gap: As an instrumental player in modernization, you’ll extract business logic from legacy systems for migration or integration with cloud-based services.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience working as a software engineer on complex software projects.
- Excellent coding skills and solid development experience (Java, Python, .Net etc.) with debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Software development methodologies, with demonstrated experience developing scalable and robust software.
- Experienced in relational and NoSQL databases, data mapping, XML/JSON, REST-based web services.
- Knowledge of architecture design – Microservices architecture, containers (Docker & k8s), messaging queues.
- Deep understanding of OOP and design patterns.
Preferred skills and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Certification in one or more of the hyperscalers (Azure, AWS, and Google GCP) – otherwise, you can obtain certifications with Kyndryl.
- Experience with DevOps tools and modern engineering practices.
