Roles and Responsibilities:
The role involves designing, developing, implementing, and testing embedded software and related systems based on the requirements of the hardware being controlled.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing, planning, and developing small modules, large components, features, feature sets, or complete embedded software products.
- Working across areas such as networking, operating systems, cybersecurity, databases, and applications.
- Supporting or contributing to the development of an entire product where applicable.
- Applying conceptual knowledge of the relevant subject area and specialized technical knowledge where required.
- Applying general business knowledge gained through education or past experience and understanding how the team’s work contributes to the broader area.
- Solving problems using established procedures and consulting supervisors or senior team members when issues fall outside defined instructions or parameters.
- Working collaboratively with others to solve problems.
- Sharing technical information, asking questions, and checking for understanding.
- Developing strong customer relationships for customer-facing responsibilities and serving as a liaison between customers and GE Vernova.
