Roles and Responsibilities
- Perform actuarial calculations including funding updates, accounting disclosures, GMP equalization and member queries.
- Use actuarial software and tools for actuarial valuations and projections.
- Stay updated with regulations, guidelines and legislation affecting retirement plans and pension schemes in the UK.
- Assist with regulatory compliance, reports and documentation.
- Prepare reports, presentations and summaries of actuarial findings for internal stakeholders, senior management and clients.
- Communicate actuarial concepts and results clearly to non-technical audiences.
- Work with actuaries, analysts and consultants to support the retirement team.
- Keep up with developments and best practices in the actuarial field through professional development and relevant certifications.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Graduation or Post Graduation in Mathematics, Statistics or Economics.
- Pursuing actuarial exams.
- Passed at least one actuarial exam or completed an equivalent actuarial certification course such as M.Sc. or ACET.
- Knowledge of CM1 is mandatory.
- Fresher to 12 months of experience.
- Logical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office tools including MS Excel and MS Word.
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills with attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
