Job Description
As a DevSecOps Engineer at Wesco, you will be responsible for designing, automating, and managing continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines. Roles and Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines for efficient software delivery
- Establish best practices for code management, release processes, and information security
- Analyze software repositories for compliance and implement mitigation strategies
- Manage containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Work with development teams to build secure runtime environments
- Collaborate with platform leads and vendors for upgrades and patches
- Resolve SaaS/IaaS/PaaS environmental issues with external account managers
- Automate processes using Terraform, Ansible, and ARM templates
- Promote information security practices within development and operations teams
- Support deployment planning and execution to minimize downtime
- Participate in agile ceremonies, peer reviews, and knowledge sharing
- Maintain documentation (technical specs, procedures, configuration details)
- Troubleshoot and resolve environment-related issues on time
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in IT or related field (Master’s preferred)
- 2+ years of experience as DevSecOps Engineer or related software engineering role
- Proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools (Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, etc.)
- Experience with cloud platforms – AWS, Azure, Google Cloud
- Familiarity with Ansible, Puppet, or Chef for configuration management
- Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Knowledge of networking, system security, and best practices
- Experience with Veracode, SonarQube, or similar code quality tools
- Strong collaboration and problem-solving skills
- Jira & Confluence knowledge preferred
- Deployment experience with ERP, CRM, WMS, or eCommerce platforms is a plus
