Roles and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business teams to create and maintain the data catalog.
- Monitor and manage metadata to ensure accuracy and ongoing updates
- Assist with data cataloging, profiling, lineage, and data quality processes.
- Provide guidance and training to employees on accessing and using the Metadata Dictionary and Taxonomy.
- Produce metrics and management reporting related to metadata usage and content quality.
- Complete special projects as assigned to support departmental needs.
- Solve problems and make recommendations for improving process complexities.
- Maintain documentation and ensure knowledge retention.
- Handle and manage escalations related to metadata processes.
- Support GIDS leadership in meeting team objectives and strategic initiatives.
- Stay informed about changes in the broader data landscape and provide insights to GIDS management.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Postgraduate (PG) degree.
- IT and finance‑related certifications preferred.
- 0–3 years of experience in a data role, preferably in financial services.
- Understanding of metadata and its importance in business and IT processes.
- Knowledge of financial regulations and industry practices (preferred).
- Understanding of data modeling and data entity relationships.
- Experience with metadata management tools (preferred; training available).
Skills Required
- Strong process and project management skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Solid interpersonal skills.
- Strong technical skills with ability to model relationships between data entities.
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Analytical skills for interpreting data and producing reports.
