Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Independently collect, organize, and analyses data to produce accurate MI, reports, and presentations for management decision-making.
  • Own delivery of critical BAU reporting and operational scorecards, ensuring timely outputs, strong data quality, and minimal manual intervention.
  • Maintain and enhance reporting and automation solutions (e.g., Power BI dashboards, Alteryx workflows), including performance optimization, data modelling, and controls.
  • Ensure smooth operation of agreed processes and systems, including maintaining process documentation, change logs, and governance artefacts.
  • Proactively identify, investigate, and resolve data/process issues; perform upgrades/enhancements and ensure end-to-end data integrity.
  • Partner with stakeholders across CIB Client Servicing and wider HSBC to align reporting, priorities, and delivery outcomes with business objectives.
  • Act as a key point of contact for internal queries and change requests, providing timely, accurate responses and coordinating resolution through to closure.
  • The role holder is expected to contribute to and develop the Business Management functional capability.
  • Develop self and others to achieve business / individual goals, sharing knowledge and experience and providing support where required.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (any discipline). Strong understanding of MI/reporting practices, including data governance, controls, and documentation standards.
  • Working knowledge of Power BI (data modelling, DAX, dashboard performance) and Alteryx (workflow design, automation, scheduling).
  • Experience managing BAU reporting cycles and operational scorecards, with a focus on accuracy, timeliness, and stakeholder usability. Awareness of operational risk and control expectations, including validation checks, audit trails, and change management.
  • Up-to-date understanding of relevant HSBC policies and procedures (refer to applicable Functional Instruction Manuals (FIM) and local guidance).
  • Familiarity with CIB Client Servicing operating model and key service processes (or ability to learn quickly). Act with integrity and transparency: ensure accuracy in all outputs, clearly flag assumptions/uncertainties, and never fabricate information.
  • Apply Group Compliance Policy and relevant FIM/departmental guidance, partnering with Compliance and Risk as required for the role.
  • Proactively identify control gaps and procedural weaknesses; drive remediation through documented actions, ownership, and follow-up. Advanced Excel capability (Power Query/Power Pivot), with VBA/macros where appropriate, to automate repeatable reporting and improve data quality.
  • Strong reporting and visual communication skills using PowerPoint, with the ability to summarise complex information into clear leadership-ready insights.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with senior management and cross-functional stakeholders; manage expectations, prioritization, and delivery without escalations.
  • Strong technical toolkit and process mindset: Power BI (DAX/data modelling), Alteryx (workflow automation), SharePoint (document control/versioning), MS Teams/Outlook, Visio and familiarity with project tool) and CRM/service platforms used within HSBC.
