Roles and Responsibilities
- Develop and implement financial plans and stress testing methodologies.
- Analyse stress testing results to identify potential vulnerabilities and assess capital adequacy.
- Contribute to financial risk management strategies and communicate financial risks to relevant stakeholders.
- Analyse the bank’s capital position and assess its ability to meet regulatory capital requirements.
- Support capital management strategies and evaluate the impact of capital allocation decisions on risk profile and financial performance.
- Orchestrate process cycles for Planning and Stress Testing FTC and support project management of planning processes and stress tests.
- Document requirements prescribed by the regulator and track process and data-owner activities.
- Track and report process-cycle progress through relevant governance forums and workflow tools.
- Manage data, dataflows and data quality from contributors through to report submission.
- Manage BAU systems to support the generation of capital or funding plans and drive process reengineering initiatives.
- Maintain ownership of the control environment, standards and conformance.
- Provide ongoing governance support, including regulatory liaison, board engagement, group attestation and KPMG engagement.
- Perform prescribed activities in a timely manner and to a high standard while driving continuous improvement.
- Provide specialist advice and support within the assigned work area.
- Support team requirements and coordinate work with closely related teams.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- Financial acumen and understanding of accounting standards.
- Understanding of financial planning processes.
- Expertise in MS Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Planning, forecasting, budgeting and analytical skills.
- Understanding of finance concepts and financial statements.
- Good business acumen; banking experience is preferred.
- Understanding of risk and controls practices in day-to-day deliverables.
- Ability to execute work requirements according to processes and procedures.
- Ability to collaborate with closely related teams.
- Ability to cross-check work to meet internal and stakeholder requirements.
- Ability to take ownership of risk management and strengthen controls.
- Ability to deliver work in line with relevant rules, regulations and codes of conduct.
