They are looking for a Graduate Software Engineer to join the Design Enablement team within Solutions Engineering – Implementation organization. You will build and maintain software tools and automated EDA flows used to develop, validate, and deliver custom cells and custom macros. Working alongside experienced software engineers and circuit designers across Arm’s global engineering sites, you will learn established development practices while contributing practical solutions for engineering teams.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and sustain software applications and automated workflows that support custom cells and custom macro development and validation.
  • Write clear, maintainable code in Java or Python, with supporting automation in Tcl, Bash, or tcsh.
  • Work with circuit designers and software engineers to understand requirements and implement practical solutions.
  • Help integrate new build methodologies and EDA tools into Custom Cells workflows.
  • Support efficient, scalable, and parallel execution of EDA workloads in on-premises and cloud environments.
  • Write unit, integration, and regression tests, investigate failures, and debug software issues.
  • Participate in code reviews, document changes, and provide support to engineering users.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Science, Electronics and Communication Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Good programming skills in Java, Python, or both, including object-oriented programming and data structures.
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills, with attention to software quality and accuracy.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
  • Familiarity with software development fundamentals, including version control and automated testing.

“Desired” Skills and Experience:

  • Experience or coursework in Tcl and Unix shell scripting, including Bash or tcsh.
  • Familiarity with Linux or Unix development environments.
  • Basic understanding of digital electronics, semiconductor design flows, or Physical IP.
  • Exposure to EDA tools or batch-computing and job-scheduling environments such as IBM Platform LSF.
