Job Description
Version 1 is seeking a motivated IT Operations Engineer with 0–2 years of experience to support and maintain the company’s IT infrastructure and cloud environments. The selected candidate will monitor systems, perform maintenance activities, and ensure high uptime and operational reliability.
You will also work with Windows, Linux, and Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, OCI), contributing to automation initiatives and process improvements across the IT ecosystem.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Monitoring & Maintenance
- Monitor and maintain servers, storage, networks, and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, OCI).
- Conduct regular system health checks, security patching, and backups.
- Ensure compliance with organizational IT security and operational standards.
- Incident & Problem Management
- Respond to system alerts and performance incidents, ensuring quick resolution.
- Conduct root cause analysis and prepare incident documentation.
- Escalate complex technical issues to senior engineers when needed.
- Service Reliability & Automation
- Participate in maintaining 24×7 system availability and business continuity.
- Utilize automation tools (PowerShell, Python, Bash) to streamline recurring IT tasks.
- Contribute to monitoring and performance improvement strategies.
- Collaboration & Documentation
- Collaborate with global IT teams and Service Desk for smooth service delivery.
- Maintain accurate documentation for systems, configurations, and operational procedures.
- Share technical knowledge and mentor junior team members.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 0–2 years of experience in IT infrastructure or system administration.
- Hands-on experience with Windows/Linux server management.
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, OCI) is desirable.
- Understanding of basic network concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, firewalls).
- Familiarity with monitoring tools (Nagios, SolarWinds, ITRS) and ticketing systems (ServiceNow, Freshservice).
- Scripting skills in PowerShell, Python, or Bash for automation.
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
