Roles and Responsibilities
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve network security alerts using monitoring tools.
- Provide Tier 1 networking and security operational support.
- Escalate incidents requiring advanced support.
- Follow SOPs for incident resolution tasks.
- Respond to automated alerts from monitoring systems promptly.
- Document triage efforts and maintain detailed ticket records.
- Continuously learn and improve incident response skills.
- Support compliance and governance requirements.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience in a Security Operations Center (SOC) or similar role.
- Hands-on experience with SIEM/SOAR tools for monitoring, analysis, and response.
- Knowledge of firewalls, IDS/IPS, malware prevention, and intrusion detection.
- Familiarity with TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, and other network protocols.
- Experience with Windows, macOS, and Linux environments.
- Tools knowledge: Splunk, AWS, CrowdStrike (EDR), DataDog, Orca Security (CNAPP), Recorded Future, Torq, Jamf, or Microsoft Intune.
- Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
- Certifications: CompTIA Network+ and CompTIA Security+.
- Special Sauce (Preferred, Not Mandatory): Experience troubleshooting Cisco Meraki or Ubiquiti Unifi routers/WLAN devices.
