As a Threat Intelligence Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting the cyber threat intelligence function at StoneX. You will collaborate closely with the Exposure Management Manager and Threat Intelligence Lead Analyst to provide actionable insights, identify potential risks, and enhance the organization’s overall cybersecurity posture. Your role ensures that the company’s resources are focused on the most relevant threats, reducing the likelihood of security incidents or material impact.

Roles and Responsibilities:
- Collect and analyze threat data and intelligence to meet stakeholder requirements.
- Develop strategic, tactical, and operational intelligence reports for distribution to key teams.
- Present cybersecurity intelligence to both technical and management audiences to shape priorities and defenses.
- Research and evaluate TTPs (Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures) to recommend behavioral improvements and detection strategies.
- Provide intelligence support during incident response and remediation activities.
- Collaborate with internal cybersecurity and business teams to address the evolving cyber threat landscape.
- Escalate potential threats or risks to management promptly with detailed analysis.
- Build and maintain automation playbooks and update threat intelligence modules within SOAR (Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response) platforms.
- Exercise independent judgment and analytical evaluation to deliver high-quality threat assessments.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree with 1–3 years of professional experience; or 5 years of relevant experience without a degree.
- Preferred academic backgrounds: Information Security, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or STEM.
- Strong understanding of frameworks such as Lockheed Martin Cyber Kill Chain, MITRE ATT&CK, and the Diamond Model.
- Knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP), system administration, and security defense mechanisms.
- Experience in information analysis and the intelligence analysis cycle.
- Familiarity with cyber threat intelligence concepts including threat actors, malware, and vulnerabilities.
- Hands-on experience with indicator analysis and threat behavior analysis across platforms.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional growth in cyber threat intelligence.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in Incident Response, Security Operations, or Threat Intelligence roles.
- Ability to translate OSINT and private threat reports into actionable detections and mitigations.
- Experience in developing threat detections to identify adversary activities using open and closed-source platforms.
- Knowledge of malware analysis, identifying adversary tool functions, and performing data analysis using SIEM systems.
- Hands-on experience with SOAR platforms, Python scripting, and automation playbooks.
- Familiarity with structured analytic techniques and cognitive bias identification.
- Understanding of advanced threat signatures and the ability to develop relevant alerts and countermeasures.
