Role Overview
The selected candidate will collaborate with the onshore team in Germany (SSGermany) on the ELK (Elastic Stack) platform, building and optimizing use cases in a Security Operations Center environment. The role involves developing SIEM solutions, enhancing security automation, and maintaining compliance with privacy standards such as GDPR.
Job Description
- Work within a Security Operations Center (SOC) to monitor, detect, and respond to cybersecurity threats.
- Develop and implement SIEM use cases and perform continuous tuning for performance optimization.
- Contribute to Managed Security Services Provider (MSSP) operations.
- Create, test, and maintain runbooks, playbooks, and documentation for SOC processes.
- Perform root cause analysis for security incidents and system deficiencies.
- Ensure compliance with data protection laws, including GDPR and PII policies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance threat detection and response capabilities.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Mandatory: Proficiency with Elastic SIEM (ELK) for threat detection and monitoring.
- Knowledge of QRadar, Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, Defender, and SentinelOne IR.
- Understanding of network security, firewalls, WAF, routers, and AWS Cloud Security.
- Familiarity with security orchestration and automation for creating response playbooks.
- Strong analytical skills to evaluate logs, alerts, and threat intelligence feeds.
