Job Description
As an Associate Software Test Engineer, you will actively contribute to Rockwell’s software development process — from test design and automation to verification and validation. You’ll work on industry-leading manufacturing execution system (MES) solutions that integrate with automation, control systems, and enterprise software.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Participate in all stages of the software development lifecycle, focusing on test automation, verification, and validation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional global teams following the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test cases.
- Analyze test results, report defects, and ensure software quality.
- Prepare detailed test documentation as per Rockwell’s engineering standards.
- Contribute to CI/CD and agile development practices.
- Provide work estimates, track progress, and ensure timely task completion.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
- Minimum 1 year of experience in software test automation.
- Familiarity with test scripting languages and frameworks.
- Strong understanding of software testing principles, test documentation, and automation tools.
Preferred Skills
- Proficiency in Marathon, Selenium, or other test automation tools.
- Knowledge of Java, data structures, and object-oriented design.
- Experience with JIRA, GitLab, JUnit, Jenkins, Eclipse, ANT, and Maven.
- Exposure to TDD/BDD methodologies and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with test management tools like qTest.
- Experience working in an Agile/SAFe development environment.
