Company Overview

The Network Engineer role requires a minimum of 2 years of experience in networking technologies, along with a strong understanding of the ITIL framework and incident management. Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or MCA with CCNA certification. Responsibilities include network monitoring, fault identification, and coordination with vendors as part of network engineer L1 jobs. Shift-based work is required, and effective communication skills are essential for supporting enterprise network support roles.

Job Requirements:

• Knowledge of the ITIL framework;
• Technical capability to deliver first-level network monitoring aligned with level 1 network operations;
• Technical capability to perform basic fault diagnosis and escalation;
• Good understanding of incident management processes;
• Strong ability to follow documented operational procedures;
• Basic understanding of Ethernet, Spanning Tree, TCP/IP, Routing (RIP, EIGRP, OSPF, BGP);
• Basic understanding of IOS and CatOS;
• Experience with ticket management and change request management systems;
• Experience using network monitoring, management, and analysis tools;
• Experience coordinating with carriers and vendors for fault resolution; and
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Day-to-day maintenance and backup activities.
• SLA maintenance and management, including monthly uptime reports, bandwidth utilization reports, and interface utilization reporting for all devices.
• Troubleshooting and debugging network and application access issues.
• Incident management activities.
• Submission of periodic reports on equipment performance and review.
• SLA maintenance and management, including daily, weekly, and quarterly interface utilization reports, hardware reports, and related documentation.
• Open to 24*7 shift operations supporting network monitoring and incident management.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• B.E / B.Tech / MCA with CCNA or equivalent certification

Desired Experience:

• Any Technical Graduate with hands-on experience in networking, routing, and switching, with a minimum of 2+ years of experience.
• Network engineer with foundational networking technology skills, good understanding of cross-platform technologies, and familiarity with Cisco-based technologies and products (working hours 24×7, shift-based).
