About the Role: Data Engineer
As a Data Engineer at Nokia, you will design and implement end-to-end data solutions leveraging Azure, Databricks, Synapse Analytics, and Python. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams including solution architects, data scientists, and developers to deliver scalable and secure data platforms that support analytics, automation, and decision-making.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Design and develop cloud-native data solutions using Azure, Databricks, Synapse, and ADF.
- Translate business and technical requirements into detailed data architecture and design documents.
- Build, test, and deploy robust code using Python (PySpark), C#, and SQL.
- Integrate structured and unstructured data sources for analysis and visualization.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and follow Agile development methodologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high performance, scalability, and maintainability of data systems.
- Lead data troubleshooting, optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Stay updated on emerging data and cloud technologies to drive innovation.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure (IaaS/PaaS).
- Proficiency in Azure Data Services – Databricks, Synapse Analytics, and Azure Data Factory (ADF).
- Strong command over Python (PySpark), C#, and SQL.
- Familiarity with YAML for configuration management and deployments.
- Experience with front-end frameworks such as React or Angular.
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, automation tools, and Agile development practices.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in data warehousing, cloud migration, or big data analytics.
- Exposure to data governance, ETL processes, or data security frameworks.
- Knowledge of machine learning pipelines or real-time data streaming.
