NiCE is seeking a motivated and skilled Cloud Operations Engineer to join their high-performing Application Operations team. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about cloud infrastructure, automation, and performance optimization in enterprise-scale environments. You will manage mission-critical systems deployed on AWS, supporting large-scale applications while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure reliability, scalability, and operational excellence.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Design and implement cloud infrastructure for monitoring, alerting, logging, and deployment automation.
  • Set up environments and deploy solutions across various stages (Test, Production, etc.).
  • Develop automated monitoring and alert systems to ensure maximum uptime.
  • Automate operational tasks using Ansible, Python, Perl, and other scripting tools.
  • Investigate performance and stability issues both internally and at client sites.
  • Optimize Actimize platforms (AIS and RCM), operating systems, and databases for performance.
  • Identify performance bottlenecks and lead root cause analysis (RCA) sessions.
  • Support AWS environments across EC2, S3, IAM, ELB, VPC, CloudFormation, and related services.
  • Troubleshoot and handle high-severity incidents involving multiple AWS services.
  • Build and maintain scripts for automating AWS deployments and reducing manual intervention.
  • Participate in on-call rotations, providing 24×7 operational support.
  • Collaborate closely with DevOps, Product, and Architecture teams for infrastructure planning.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Operations, or Application Support.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and performance-tuning skills.
  • Hands-on expertise with AWS cloud environments and container orchestration (Kubernetes).
  • Experience in managing multi-tier applications and databases (SQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, Cassandra).
  • Proficiency in scripting tools: Python, Ansible, Perl, Ruby, PowerShell, or Shell.
  • Familiarity with tools such as ELK, Splunk, Kafka, AppDynamics, and Dynatrace.
  • Exposure to Java performance tuning and middleware technologies (Tomcat, WebLogic, WebSphere).
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional teamwork.

Additional Desired Skills

  • Experience with cloud security practices and incident response.
  • Exposure to Agile/Sprint methodologies.
  • Familiarity with incident management platforms like OpsGenie, PagerDuty, or AlertOps.
  • Strong problem-solving approach with a proactive mindset.
