The Technical Support Technician will be responsible for conducting telephone-based support for the Bentel, DSC, Sur-Gard, Visonic, Qolsys IQ, Power Manage, and C24 range of products. The position will assist with training (in-house and external), product evaluation, occasional site visits, and other activities that help support customers and internal teams as part of the Johnson Controls technical support role. You can be located remotely or locally to a JCI office and report to the Intrusion Technical Support Supervisor. As a member of this team, you will work in a dynamic environment that provides a platform to make an immediate impact.

Roles and Responsibilities:
As a Technical Support Engineer, you will be responsible for responding to up to 30–40 customer calls daily in a professional and efficient manner, addressing and resolving issues within SLA timelines, and providing support for the Johnson Controls Security Products intrusion product range. This includes working with both application software and hardware products, delivering feedback to customers, colleagues, and managers, and evaluating products as part of a L1 technical support engineer function. As a key contributor to the North America Technical Support Team, you will operate within a dynamic environment that offers opportunities to significantly influence JCI processes and products. You play an essential role within the R&D organization, demonstrating a positive team-player attitude combined with a multi-interface approach.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong technical background or an associate degree or equivalent would be preferred.
- Tech-savvy individuals capable of navigating IT and interactive communication tools.
- Experience handling hardware and software issues with strong troubleshooting abilities.
- Action-oriented self-starter who takes initiative to resolve issues.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Highly motivated individual able to build resilient and positive professional relationships.
- Quick learner and team player who communicates effectively with key stakeholders.
- Flexible Monday–Friday shift work required to support customers across all markets (6:30pm IST – 3:30am IST).
- Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Understanding of networking principles and concepts relevant to a technical support analyst role.
- Strong Linux experience.
Good to have
- Fluency in one or more major languages such as Italian, German, French, Spanish, Dutch, or Hindi.
- Experience working in the Electronic Security (Intruder Systems) or Communications industry.
- Understanding of electronic security products and electrical concepts.
