Educational Qualification:
Educational Qualifications
Syrang of Lascars – 10th pass from a recognised Institute or Board. Syrang Certificate granted under Inland Vessels Act, 1917 or Merchant Shipping Act, 1958. Two years experience as Syrang-in-Charge of a registered vessel of twenty horse power
Lascar I – 10th pass from a recognised Institute or Board. Knowledge of swimming. One year experience on a registered vessel.
Fireman (Boat Crew) – 10th pass from a recognised Institute or Board. Knowledge of swimming. Certificate of having completed a pre-sea training course.
Topass – 10th pass from a recognised Institute or Board. Knowledge of swimming.
