Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Identify, review and analyse business processes and systems to understand design implications across Business, IT and Operations.
  • Support reengineering of processes, where process is one of the many parts of the change, and provide detailed guidance on process design (considering risk, end-to-end and cost) and support with impact assessment for change requests on design, scope, time, budget or effort on programme plan and provide accurate estimates for handling new requirements, design changes and scope.
  • Support the development of control structures and performance scorecards (KPIs) to ensure project milestones, budgets, resources, and employee engagement aspirations are achieved, implementing mitigating actions as appropriate, and work with markets/regions to understand regulatory, customer, and competitive landscapes.
  • The Associate, Business Analyst will lead, contribute, challenge, and advise effectively on areas within their scope, including internal committees or forums, and support the delivery of transparent and insightful feedback on status while working within banking transformation analytics. They will communicate with clarity, impact, and passion to inspire audiences and create shared understanding and commitment.
  • Support the team by quickly familiarising new team members with the team’s purpose and expectations and assist Programme leadership in communicating strategic direction across global, regional, and country structures.
  • Support and encourage constructive cross-country, cross-function, and cross-business teamwork by demonstrating collaboration and taking prompt action to address activities or behaviours that are not aligned with HSBC’s diversity policy or the best interests of the business and its customers.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Possess excellent Business Analyst skills.
  • Strong analytical background with a high degree of attention to detail.
  • Background working in cross-functional teams to drive requirements capture.
  • Experience in business and process analysis, change initiatives, and re-engineering, along with experience in planning and deploying both business and IT initiatives.
  • Strong knowledge of end-to-end Credit lifecycle for Wholesale customers and use of business data in downstream systems and functions such as Risk and Finance.
  • Knowledge of key Risk parameters such as PD, LGD, and EAD and their application in risk and regulatory calculations and reporting, with proficiency in business and risk data flows, reporting metrics, and dashboards supporting risk data analysis.
  • Knowledge of data controls, data transformation logic, data normalization, and reporting tools such as Qlik or Tableau.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a proven ability to communicate effectively and confidently at all levels across the Group, while constructively challenging business intent to accurately define requirements and design detailed business solutions and structures.
