Data Analyst (Junior) – Tax Technology with Python / Pandas Expertise. EY is currently seeking a Junior Data Analyst with demonstrable Python programming skills and good French language proficiency to join their Tax Technology Transformation team supported by advanced financial data analytics.

Roles and Responsibilities:
- Perform hands-on data manipulation using Python/Pandas to import, cleanse, and transform accounting datasets informed by data processing optimization techniques.
- Write efficient Python scripts to automate data cleaning and reconciliation processes
- Build data pipelines that connect to various data sources (SQL databases, Excel files, APIs) enriched with data integration workflow insights.
- Apply practical data analysis techniques to interpret accounting data and generate actionable insights strengthened through predictive data interpretation methods.
- Perform reconciliations between tax data, accounting data, and financial statements
- Create data visualizations and reports to communicate findings effectively
- Participate in team meetings and document technical processes.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in accounting, information technology, business analytics, or related field
- Practical Python coding experience (1+ year) with ability to demonstrate through:
- Portfolio projects involving real data manipulation with Pandas
- Code samples showing proficiency with DataFrames, data cleaning, and analysis
- Specific Pandas skills required: DataFrame operations, merging datasets, groupby aggregations, and practical data cleaning techniques
- Working knowledge of SQL queries and relational database concepts
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial data structures
- Strong French and English communication skills (written and verbal)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel
