Roles and Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to the SOC team, including managing documentation, filing, and record-keeping.
- Assist with the scheduling and coordination of Security team activities like meetings, training sessions, phishing campaigns and other activities.
- Collaborate with team members to compile and organize Security incident reports, metrics, and other operational data.
- Create and maintain comprehensive Security documentation, including standard operating procedures, incident response playbooks, and knowledge base articles.
- Support the onboarding and offboarding process for SOC team members, ensuring that necessary access and equipment are provided.
- Assist in tracking and managing security-related tasks and projects, ensuring timely completion.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather information and compile reports for management and regulatory purposes.
- Coordinate with external vendors and service providers to ensure the availability of required Security resources.
- Assist in the maintenance of security tools and technologies used by the SOC team.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of Security operational processes and workflows.
- Provide backup SOC support during times of increased workloads or team member absence
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Educational background: A bachelor’s degree or academic qualification inclined towards computer science, Information Technology, or a related field is required. A master’s degree is preferred, however suitable experience and experience can be taken in to account.
- Experience: 1 to 3 years of proven experience supporting IT SOC or security operations as Security Operations Analyst or in a similar role within a large/ mid-sized organization.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
Desirable
- Familiarity with legal industry practices and regulations is a plus.
- Good understanding of IT Security and IT systems, with a focus on Microsoft products.
- Working understanding of security tools SIEM (e.g. MS Sentinel), EDR (e.g. MS Defender), Email gateway (e.g. Mimecast), etc.
- Working understanding of security alert monitoring and incident investigation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and collaboration tools.
- Familiarity with Vulnerability management concepts (e.g. CVE understanding) and related tools and technologies (e.g. Qualys) is a plus.
