Job Description
The Operations Analyst will be responsible for managing daily middle office operations, including trade, cash, and position reconciliations. The role involves supporting investment banking operations, monitoring financial transactions, and maintaining accurate records to ensure compliance with client service level agreements (SLAs).
Roles and Responsibilities
- Produce daily operational deliverables in line with client SLAs, focusing on positions, trades, and cash reconciliations.
- Analyze, investigate, and resolve reconciliation breaks and transaction discrepancies.
- Evaluate cash flows, financing, and risks associated with investment products such as derivatives, debt, and private equity.
- Apply analytical thinking to existing processes, tools, and controls to improve efficiency.
- Maintain strong knowledge of trade reconciliations (position and cash).
- Work on OTC & ETD financial products related to investment banking operations.
- Support new client onboarding, migration projects, and process transitions.
- Maintain professional communication and collaboration with clients and internal stakeholders.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree from a recognized university.
- Fresher or 1+ years of experience in the investment banking or financial services domain.
- Experience in reconciliations is an added advantage.
- Product knowledge of global and OTC security markets, derivatives, and fixed income instruments.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of hedge funds and investment banking operations.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
