Roles and Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models.
- Support and maintain existing BI reports with clear documentation.
- Optimize DAX queries for performance and scalability.
- Automate reporting processes to reduce manual effort.
- Analyze reports, monitor usage, and optimize licensing costs.
- Write custom scripts to extract and transform data from data warehouses, BI Cubes, or Snowflake.
- Consolidate reports and enhance usability for end-users.
- Collaborate with data engineers to validate and prepare data for Power BI.
- Work with stakeholders to define KPIs and build self-service BI tools.
- Maintain proactive communication with stakeholders regarding report updates.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, or related field.
- 1+ years of experience in BI development or data analytics with advanced SQL programming.
- Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate or equivalent Power BI certification.
- Strong expertise in Power BI (Power Query, DAX, dataflows).
- Knowledge of Azure DevOps, Git/Jenkins, CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience extracting data from databases like Azure SQL DB, MySQL, Cosmos DB, or SharePoint.
- Familiarity with scripting in Python or Unix shell.
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and cloud platforms (Azure, Snowflake, Azure Synapse, Databricks).
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with a collaborative mindset.
