The Capco Data Warehouse BizOps team is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to enhance application reliability and optimize operations. This role directly supports the Data Delivery and Analytics program, including key products like MyMPA and QMR, ensuring scalability, automation, and efficient system performance.

Roles and Responsibilities
- Service Lifecycle Management
- Improve end-to-end service lifecycle including design, deployment, operations, and continuous refinement.
- Support services pre-launch with system design consulting, capacity planning, and launch reviews.
- Operational Excellence
- Monitor and maintain services to ensure availability, latency, and system health.
- Provide feedback to development teams on ITSM activities, resiliency gaps, and operational improvements.
- Automate processes for sustainable scaling of systems.
- DevOps & CI/CD Pipeline
- Support CI/CD pipelines for software promotion into higher environments.
- Drive DevOps automation best practices for improved reliability and speed.
- Troubleshoot and optimize distributed systems during production events.
- Collaboration & Mentorship
- Work with a global team across multiple geographies and time zones.
- Share knowledge, mentor junior team members, and foster best practices.
- Participate in incident response and lead blameless post-mortems.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field (Physics, Mathematics) or equivalent experience.
- Strong background in algorithms, data structures, scripting, pipeline management, and software design.
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as C, C++, Java, Python, Go, Perl, or Ruby.
- Experience debugging, optimizing code, and automating tasks.
- Expertise in CI/CD tools such as Git/BitBucket, Jenkins, Maven, Chef, and Artifactory.
- Strong problem-solving skills, effective communication, and the ability to work under pressure.
- Interest in designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems.
- Experience working across development, operations, and product teams to drive collaboration.
