About the Role

The Continuous Integration (CI) team at Avaloq is expanding! We’re looking for highly motivated and experienced DevOps Engineers who are ready to enhance the performance, reliability, and automation of our core systems. You’ll play a key role in building scalable CI/CD pipelines, maintaining production systems, and driving innovation within the engineering ecosystem.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Manage and operate production-grade Continuous Integration (CI) systems.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for internal users and developer teams.
• Collaborate with architects, tech leads, and practice heads to shape the CI/CD roadmap.
• Transition infrastructure towards modern containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Mentor junior team members and promote DevOps best practices.
• Participate in designing scalable solutions for CI/CD pipelines and automation workflows.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong understanding of CI/CD concepts and their practical implementation.
• Experience with DevOps tools like Jenkins, Artifactory, Ansible, Terraform, and Git.
• Proficiency in Linux environments and build tools such as Gradle or Maven.
• Knowledge of container orchestration platforms like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with microservice architecture and cloud-native development.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as in cross-functional teams.

Preferred / Bonus Skills

• Hands-on experience with Red Hat OpenShift or similar container platforms.
• Exposure to Oracle Databases or relational database management systems.
• Scripting knowledge in Groovy or Python.
• Cloud experience with major providers like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
