Role Overview
As a Junior Data Analyst Associate at AstraZeneca, you’ll be responsible for analyzing complex business data, generating actionable insights, and supporting data-driven decision-making. You’ll use tools such as SQL, PySpark, and Power BI in a cloud-based environment to manage and visualize data for strategic business initiatives.
This role requires a proactive learner who can interpret datasets and translate them into meaningful business recommendations for sales, marketing, and operations teams.
Accountabilities
- Extract, cleanse, and validate data from multiple sources to ensure data integrity.
- Perform advanced SQL queries and data transformations using PySpark.
- Develop dashboards, KPIs, and reports in Power BI to support business strategies.
- Identify and communicate insights that drive marketing and sales effectiveness.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design data-driven business solutions.
- Conduct data audits and maintain reporting accuracy and consistency.
- Recommend process improvements to enhance data quality and reporting efficiency.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Business, or Computer Science.
- 2–3 years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or data visualization.
- Hands-on experience with SQL, PySpark, and Power BI.
- Experience with VBA automation or IQVIA data is an added advantage.
- Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Exposure to pharma marketing data or healthcare analytics preferred.
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills to communicate insights effectively.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to engage senior business leaders.
- Knowledge of AstraZeneca’s products, therapeutic areas, and commercial operations is a plus.
