The International Card Services (ICS) division at American Express is a global leader in credit cards, business financing, T&E solutions, supplier payments, and cross-border payment systems. The ICS Centre of Excellence (COE) is a newly established function that focuses on unlocking growth and driving innovation in business spending solutions. Within ICS COE, the Analytics & Strategic Insights (ASI) Marketing Analytics Team acts as the analytical backbone that fuels data-driven growth across international markets. Roles and Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end data pipelines and prospect databases for international lead markets in ICS.
- Continuously analyze and optimize technical architecture for new and existing data solutions.
- Partner with business, analytics, and machine learning teams to improve and scale data capabilities.
- Work collaboratively in a fast-paced Agile environment to deliver high-quality data engineering solutions.
- Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and compliance across multiple systems.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Educational Background
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Engineering (or equivalent).
- 0–3 years of experience in data engineering or software development.
- Core Skills
- Proficiency in Big Data, Spark (PySpark, Scala), Hive, SQL, Java, and Bash scripting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of Agile methodology or the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Excellent communication skills and ability to handle complex, undefined problems.
- Foundational knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is a plus.
