About the Role
The Enterprise Risk Management and Risk Oversight (ERMRO) team at American Express Global Risk and Compliance (GRC) is responsible for managing and mitigating risks across all business units and geographies. As an Analyst – Risk Data Aggregation & Reporting, you’ll help develop frameworks for risk data aggregation, analysis, and reporting. The role requires balancing technical expertise with regulatory understanding to support strategic business decisions and ensure compliance with international risk standards.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Design and implement data and reporting frameworks to identify material, concentration, and emerging risks.
- Collaborate with Enterprise Data Office (EDO) and Business Unit Data Offices (BUDOs) to ensure robust data governance and accuracy.
- Conduct annual assessments of risk reporting systems and tools for quality improvement.
- Establish frameworks for assessing and governing non-model tools used in critical business processes.
- Provide analytical oversight on tools like Minimum Due Calculator, ADB Calculation, and other decision-support applications.
- Deliver technical reviews and regulatory compliance reports in collaboration with internal stakeholders and audit teams.
- Ensure strong adherence to OCC Heightened Standards and BCBS239 guidelines for risk data management.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 0–2 years of relevant experience in risk management or data analytics.
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Economics, or Computer Science.
