Roles and Responsibilities
As a Junior Quality Engineer at Flex, you will:
- Work with design and manufacturing engineers to define process parameters for supplier quality.
- Support supplier approvals by assessing technology, safety, and environmental risks.
- Monitor supplier processes and assist in root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Collaborate on process improvements and value enhancements with suppliers.
- Promote continuous improvement practices such as Lean, Six-Sigma, PFMEA, and Poka-Yoke.
- Document inspection results and ensure compliance with engineering and regulatory requirements.
- Support new product launches to ensure quality standards are met.
- Prepare First Article Inspections and ensure audit readiness.
- Report on KPIs to track process efficiency and quality standards.
- Participate in cross-functional projects for product development and quality improvement.
- Contribute to data-driven decision-making by using analytics to improve quality and efficiency.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- B.E / B.Tech in ECE, EEE, IC, Mechanical, or Mechatronics.
- 0–2 years of experience in APQP, PPAP, and FMEA in a manufacturing setup (EMS industry preferred).
- Strong knowledge of quality and business systems.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, TS16949, and measurement techniques.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and understand manufacturing processes.
- Excellent communication skills in English (written and oral).
- Ability to work in flexible shifts and in a dynamic, diverse environment.
