Job Description – Senior Analyst Procurement (Chennai)
As a Procurement Analyst, you will play a key role in managing supplier relationships, handling purchase orders, monitoring inventory, and ensuring smooth supply chain operations. Roles and Responsibilities:
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
- Place orders for raw materials and purchased parts based on production requirements.
- Review and modify purchase orders as per production changes.
- Track shipments and follow up to ensure timely delivery.
- Monitor weekly stock levels to prevent overstocking or obsolescence.
- Handle correspondence with freight forwarders and warehouses, including transport arrangements.
- Manage claims, debit/credit settlements, and purchasing data privacy.
- Review requisitions and MRP outputs for procurement planning.
- Coordinate with vendors regarding pricing, availability, and delivery schedules.
- Approve invoices and maintain procurement records, reports, and metrics.
- Conduct supplier reviews and monitor inventory throughout the production cycle.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, ERP software, and data entry.
- Strong command of English for communication and documentation.
- Analytical ability to calculate discounts, percentages, and apply algebra/geometry concepts.
- Problem-solving skills to handle standard procurement challenges.
