Roles and Responsibilities:
- Perform key Procure to Pay accounting activities, including invoice processing, indexing and exception management.
- Resolve invoice holds and other invoice-processing issues.
- Support the effective deployment of invoice-processing activities.
- Understand process workflows, their interconnections and potential impacts.
- Ensure financial accounting activities comply with generally accepted accounting principles, local statutory requirements and Eaton corporate policies and practices.
- Maintain an effective internal control environment supporting US GAAP and local statutory requirements.
- Support compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements and controls defined by the Internal Control Program Office.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to support overall goals and objectives.
- Work closely with the Team Leader / Deputy Manager to achieve required goals and timelines.
- Collaborate across functions and support cross-functional initiatives.
- Work with peers in GFSS to contribute to broader goals, policies and initiatives.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Accounting, MBA, or Finance.
- 0–3 years of invoice management experience.
- Financial accounting systems experience in Accounts Payable and/or General Ledger using SAP and/or Oracle platforms.
- Accounting and financial knowledge with a basic understanding of the Procure to Pay process.
- ERP and system skills, including Oracle R12, SAP, MFGPRO and MS Office utilities.
- Relationship-building and influencing skills with customers and stakeholders.
- Excellent analytical, written and oral English communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across business lines and organizational boundaries.
