The Trainee SOC Analyst – L0 will supporting the Security Operations Center (SOC) team in monitoring, detecting, and reporting security events.

Θ Positions: Trainee – SOC Analyst

Roles and Responsibilities:
- Monitor security alerts and events using SIEM and other security tools under supervision.
- Perform initial alert identification and basic validation based on predefined guidelines
- Perform basic triage of alerts based on predefined playbooks and SOPs
- Identify and classify security events (e.g., phishing, malware alerts, suspicious logins)
- Escalate validated alerts/incidents to L1 analysts or relevant teams
- Assist in documentation of incidents, alerts, and investigation findings
- Perform basic first-level checks and troubleshooting of alerts as per SOPs
- Help in raising tickets in ITSM tools with proper details for further action
- Assist in sending notifications to respective departments/users for ticket updates
- Support documentation of incidents and track basic updates
- Rotational Shift including night shifts
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- B.Tech / B.E.
- Years Of Exp: 0 to 1 Years
- Fundamentals of cybersecurity (threats, vulnerabilities, malware basics)
- Basic networking concepts (IP, ports, protocols, DNS)
- Understanding of Windows/Linux systems (basic level)
- Knowledge and Awareness of security technologies ( SIEM, EDR, Firewall, etc..)
- Basic understanding of log monitoring and alert handling
- Familiarity with ticketing systems (ITSM tools)
- Strong willingness to learn and adapt in a SOC environment
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Good communication and reporting skills
