Roles and Responsibilities:
- Assist in the configuration and monitoring of Cisco Meraki devices (MX Firewalls, MS Switches, MR Access Points) using the Meraki Dashboard
- Monitor Auto-VPN site-to-site tunnels and track uplink health (latency/loss) to ensure stable branch connectivity
- Apply academic knowledge of Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) to monitor RF spectrums for interference and assist in troubleshooting client roaming or authentication (802.1X) issues
- Support the implementation of Layer 3 & Layer 7 Firewall rules, help manage Content Filtering, and review Intrusion Prevention (IPS) alerts on MX appliances
- Perform basic remote port management (VLAN tagging, PoE checks) on MS switches and learn to troubleshoot physical layer connectivity
- Act as first-level support, using logical troubleshooting (Ping, Traceroute) to diagnose network tickets and connectivity faults
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- B.E./ B.Tech / M.Tech in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Cybersecurity
- Fresher with active CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) – Must prove strong networking fundamentals
- Current study towards CCNP Enterprise or familiarity with Cisco Meraki concepts
- Understanding of Cloud-Managed IT, Auto-VPN logic, and the hierarchy of the Meraki Dashboard
- Solid academic grasp of TCP/IP, Subnetting (VLSM), VLANs (802.1Q), and basic routing protocols (OSPF)
- Clear understanding of RF physics (Signal Strength/SNR, 2.4 vs 5GHz bands) and wireless security standards (WPA2/WPA3)
- Willingness to work in rotational 24/7 shifts (including nights and weekends) to support network operations and handle critical outages
