Weaver is looking for an Information Security Analyst to join their Information Security team. The Information Security Analyst assists in developing, implementing, and administering Weaver’s security stack of applications that include EDR, MDR, SIEM/SOC, Email Security, and various Microsoft Security Solutions while supporting information security analyst roles. The ideal candidate will be comfortable interfacing with firm staff, clients, and vendors while completing various tasks and projects such as due diligence questionnaires, vulnerability assessments, updating security policies and procedures, or planning and deployment of technical solutions as part of cybersecurity operations analyst responsibilities. Support may be required outside of normal business hours, as dictated by projects and incidents.

Roles and Responsibilities:
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to incident detection and escalation alerts from cybersecurity tools and associated information systems.
- Assist with coordinating assessments of third-party vendors.
- Administer IT security solutions involving endpoints, servers, and hosted services.
- Assist with the Security Awareness Training Program to include reviewing and updating content, creating quarterly assignments, and tracking progress.
- Support vulnerability management program by following up with remediation plans on conducted penetration tests and vulnerability scans to ensure that vulnerabilities across the firm are identified and remediated.
- Research the latest information technology security trends, threats, and stay current with regulations, security frameworks and certifications.
- Assist in the annual ISO 27001 Internal Audit and the third-party audit conducted by the external certification body.
- Assist in completion of IT Quarterly Statement of Integrity.
- Provide round-the-clock support for critical issues, with availability for urgent escalations outside of standard working hours. Some travel may be required.
- Adhere to the Firm’s policies and procedures, Core Value, demonstrate their importance to others, and provide input to management on suggested modifications to Firm policies and procedures as necessary.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field.
- One or more certifications such as Network+ and/or Security+, Microsoft certifications such as SC-200, SC-300, SC-400, AZ-500, are preferred.
Skills:
- Security Operations Expertise: Hands-on experience with Managed Detection and Response (MDR), Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), and Security Operations Center (SOC) workflows, including incident triage, threat hunting, and escalation.
- Microsoft Security Stack: Proficiency with Microsoft Defender for Endpoint (MDE), Microsoft Defender for Office 365 (MDO), Microsoft Purview for data classification and Data Loss Prevention (DLP), and identity governance tools such as Privileged Identity Management (PIM) and Privileged Access Management (PAM).
- Compliance & Frameworks: Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and security frameworks such as NIST CSF, ISO 27001, SOC 1 & 2, PCI DSS, HIPAA, GDPR, and CCPA.
- Networking & Systems: Ability to analyze and interpret complex technical information across IP networking, Windows/Linux operating systems, and enterprise business applications.
- Project & Communication Skills: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects, communicate technical concepts in business-friendly language, and present findings to stakeholders.
- Documentation & Training: Skilled in creating and maintaining technical documentation, playbooks, and user training materials.
- Certifications: Familiarity with audit and certification processes for SOC 1 & 2, ISO 27001, or similar standards.
- Personal Attributes: Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment.
Work Environment Conditions:
- Must be able to sit for extended periods of time and work with exposure to noise at various levels for an office environment.
- Ability to type on a keyboard and look at a computer screen for 8 hours or more a day.
- Ability to handle deadline pressure as it applies to the department’s engagements.
- Overtime may be required.
- Ability to lift approximately 5 pounds on a regular basis.
- Ability to move, stoop, and/or bend over repeatedly as needed to reach files, workpapers, and other office materials.
- Routinely travel to various locations on and off site to conduct assessments; travel may be required with minimal notice.
