About the Role
As a Cloud Security Engineer, you will be responsible for enhancing and maintaining the security posture of Flywire’s public cloud environment. You will collaborate with SRE and DevOps teams to strengthen cloud security measures and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. This position reports to the Senior Cloud Security Engineer based in Valencia.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Define and document security requirements for Flywire’s infrastructure, systems, and integrations.
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) security controls.
- Review and approve cloud configuration changes, integrations, and secret management updates.
- Support cloud security compliance, providing evidence during audits.
- Build security solutions for incident response and participate in the incident response process.
- Manage daily cloud and infrastructure security operations.
- Ensure all network and infrastructure components are designed with a security-by-design approach.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience in cloud and infrastructure security.
- Strong analytical skills with a “breaker” mindset for identifying vulnerabilities.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud security management.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as GitHub, GitLab, or Buildkite.
- Proficiency in Python or Golang for scripting.
- Experience with IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Chef, Ansible).
- Understanding of network security and cloud-native security tools (e.g., AWS GuardDuty, WAF, GCP SCC).
- Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
