Roles and Responsibilities
- Work directly with global customers to diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues related to Confluent deployments.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships by providing prompt, accurate, and high-quality support.
- Communicate effectively with engineering teams to deliver real-time product feedback and technical insights.
- Contribute to internal process improvement, documentation, and knowledge base articles.
- Participate in the development and review of product demos and internal tools.
- Collaborate closely with the Apache Kafka engineering teams and other Confluent technologies.
- Manage a support case queue, escalating complex or high-severity issues when needed.
- Participate in on-call rotations and handle customer requests during critical or off-hour scenarios.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Passion for data streaming technologies and interest in becoming a Confluent Cloud expert.
- Basic understanding of Linux command-line operations.
- Familiarity with cloud networking concepts (AWS, GCP, Azure), including provisioning, connectivity, and VPC peering.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and execute tasks with minimal supervision.
- Detail-oriented with strong documentation and analytical skills.
Preferred Qualifications (What Gives You an Edge)
- Junior-level support experience at cloud, data, or networking companies.
- Computer Science graduates with 2–3 years of experience in technical or customer support roles.
- Knowledge of Java application support (e.g., jstack, jmap, classpath) preferred.
- Experience in troubleshooting or supporting storage and operating system environments.
