About the Role
As part of the Zalaris Cyber Security Operations Center (CSOC), the Cyber Security Analyst will be responsible for monitoring, detecting, and investigating potential security incidents across enterprise environments. This position is ideal for candidates passionate about cloud infrastructure protection, incident detection, and threat mitigation. The analyst will ensure timely detection and response to security events, supporting Zalaris’ commitment to safeguarding digital assets and enterprise systems.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Perform security event monitoring, log analysis, and first-level incident response.
- Investigate, document, and track incidents to closure according to standard operating procedures.
- Escalate complex incidents to Shift Leads or Level-2/Level-3 teams as per defined SLAs.
- Respond promptly to cybersecurity alerts and perform root cause analysis.
- Support incident response, forensics, and threat hunting activities in a 24×7 SOC environment.
- Assist in improving detection use cases, rule tuning, and security automation processes.
- Provide recommendations and expert guidance on cybersecurity best practices to internal teams.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 1+ year of experience in Cyber Security Operations or SOC environments.
- Hands-on experience with SIEM tools (Splunk, ELK) and EDR platforms (CrowdStrike).
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 Security suite.
- Strong understanding of cloud security frameworks and tools (Azure / AWS).
- Knowledge of cyber attack techniques, MITRE ATT&CK framework, TTPs, and IOC identification.
- Sound understanding of incident response fundamentals, network defense principles, and security monitoring.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills with attention to detail.
- Willingness to work in a 24×7 rotational shift SOC environment.
