About the Role: KYC Onboarding Analyst
As a KYC Onboarding Analyst at Barclays, you will be responsible for ensuring that all client onboarding and due diligence processes comply with Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations. You will work closely with multiple business units to verify client documentation, assess risk profiles, and maintain regulatory compliance for onboarding new and existing clients. This role demands accuracy, attention to detail, and strong communication skills.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Support day-to-day Wholesale KYC Onboarding and client due diligence processes.
- Review and validate customer documents and ensure compliance with KYC/AML standards.
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to collect Customer Due Diligence (CDD) evidence and resolve issues.
- Identify areas for process improvement and propose enhancements to the onboarding workflow.
- Develop reports on onboarding performance and share insights with internal stakeholders.
- Participate in compliance risk management projects and regulatory initiatives.
- Ensure onboarding processes align with Barclays’ compliance and risk policies.
- Contribute to a culture of transparency, accountability, and operational efficiency.

Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
- 0–2 years of experience in KYC, AML, or client onboarding preferred.
- Strong analytical and documentation verification skills.
- Ability to conduct detailed due diligence for individuals, corporations, and institutions.
- Knowledge of PEP screening, sanctions lists, and adverse media checks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with banking compliance software and data management tools.
Desirable Skills
- Experience working in financial risk management or compliance analysis.
- Understanding of global KYC regulations and FATCA / AML laws.
- Prior experience in a multinational bank or financial institution is a plus.
