About the Role
The Associate Cybersecurity Engineer – DevOps will be responsible for managing and optimizing Visa’s DevOps infrastructure, ensuring security, scalability, and automation across cloud and on-premise systems. You’ll be working in an innovative hybrid environment where Kubernetes management, CI/CD pipeline development, and cloud automation play key roles in maintaining Visa’s world-class digital security framework. This position requires hands-on experience with cloud technologies (AWS, GCP, Azure), Kubernetes, Ansible, and Jenkins, along with a strong understanding of Python and Bash scripting.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Participate in daily team standups and review pull requests with detailed feedback.
- Manage and optimize Kubernetes clusters in hybrid and cloud environments.
- Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, ArgoCD, and GitHub Actions.
- Automate repetitive workflows using Ansible and scripting (Python/Bash).
- Create Docker images and deploy applications on Kubernetes clusters (on-premise and cloud).
- Implement Prometheus metrics and Grafana dashboards for real-time monitoring.
- Deploy and manage microservices within secure cloud infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot connectivity issues, raise bug tickets, and perform necessary code fixes.
- Create and manage Helm charts for deploying applications efficiently.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance system reliability and performance.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in DevOps or cybersecurity environments.
- Proficient in Python and Bash scripting.
- Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Ansible, Jenkins, ArgoCD, and GitHub Actions.
- Understanding of Prometheus, Grafana, Elasticsearch, and Kafka.
- Familiarity with public cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Knowledge of microservices architecture and CI/CD pipelines.
- Bonus: Experience in leveraging Generative AI tools to enhance DevOps processes.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of relevant work experience in DevOps or cybersecurity engineering.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience integrating monitoring, alerting, and observability tools in large-scale systems.
- Exposure to data streaming technologies (Kafka, OpenSearch).
