About the Department
The Client Lifecycle Management (CLM) team in Global KYC Operations at Deutsche Bank is responsible for conducting Know Your Customer (KYC) checks across Corporate Investment Banking clients. The KYC Quality Assurance (QA) function ensures that all KYC files adhere to global compliance policies and regulatory standards. The QA team provides independent reviews of client documentation and due diligence activities to mitigate financial crime risks. This role involves working closely with the Financial Crime Risk (FCR) and Compliance Business Control Office (BCO) teams to maintain operational excellence and data accuracy in client onboarding and monitoring processes.

Roles and Responsibilities
- Act as a KYC Quality Assurance Specialist (SME) within the global QA function.
- Conduct sample-based reviews of KYC files using standardized QA methodologies.
- Perform independent quality checks on client files to ensure compliance with Deutsche Bank’s KYC policies.
- Identify and escalate risk issues related to incomplete or inaccurate client documentation.
- Collaborate with CLM and AFC QA teams to enhance KYC standards and operational efficiency.
- Contribute to continuous improvement programs, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
- Support innovation through AI-driven KYC solutions, machine learning applications, and process re-engineering initiatives.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture across QA and CLM teams.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- In-depth understanding of Know Your Customer (KYC) compliance and financial crime prevention processes.
- Minimum 3+ years of KYC operations or quality assurance experience in banking or financial services.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and ability to identify process improvements.
- Experience working with investment banking clients, including exposure to complex corporate structures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to deliver under pressure and meet strict quality standards.
- Experience mentoring peers and sharing subject matter expertise across teams.
